rooms

Depending on the floor, the rooms and suites come in baby blue, celadon green or powder pink. The original parquet flooring and moulded ceilings are particular features, as are the decorative fireplaces in many of them. Artistically furnished with floral drapes, bespoke pieces from the 1920s onwards and with abundant living space, they are each a retreat in themselves. Superior Rooms can be doubles or twins, and some come with a balcony.

The larger Deluxe Rooms have views across the golden triangle and can also be made as a double or a twin. Larger still are the Executive Rooms, some of which come with a balcony and can accommodate an extra bed for a child. The bright and spacious Junior Suites have a comfortable living room and can also feature an extra bed. Some come with a balcony and others come with a balcony and an uninterrupted view of the Eiffel Tower. The large Family Suite connects with a Superior Room, whilst the evocatively named Eiffel Tower Suite sits at the very top, and can link with an Executive Room for a family of six.

food

The bistro style Café 52 serves healthy dishes using organically grown and reared, seasonal produce. Delicious dishes, many with a French or Asian twist, are served all day, whilst plates of finger food are found at the bar until late. The atmospheric bar has a wonderful selection of champagnes from a number of small houses – it’s a delightful spot to sit and people watch.

activities

With its exceptional location, the Grand Powers is the perfect place from which to explore Paris. Many of the main attractions and sights are within walking distance – the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and a whole host of other museums and galleries. Walk through the Jardin des Tuileries to soak up Parisian life, or saunter along the banks of the Seine to admire the grand architecture.

If retail therapy is high on your agenda, then the boutiques around here and Galeries Lafayette will keep you happy for hours. Don’t miss the rooftop view. The nearest metro station (Franklin D Roosevelt – lines one and nine) is just five minutes away, and from here you can pop to the Marais for some vintage shopping, Paris St Germain for little boutiques, or to Montmartre for its stunning city views. Then maybe head back for a late afternoon in the Spa, or a well-deserved glass of champagne at the bar.

family

An ideal place for a family city break, the Grand Powers welcomes families with open arms. Double rooms interconnect, and children are given goody bags with toys and activities.
