Landlocked, in the Great Rift Valley, between Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda is known as the Land of a Thousand Hills for its rolling landscape, and the “heart of Africa”. Small, by African standards, it is blessed with beautiful scenery – rainforest covered volcanoes, lakes with stunning beaches and vast plains – home to an amazing biodiversity of both flora and fauna, much of which is endemic.
Conservation has become a leading focus in the country – it is also one of the cleanest countries in the world. Rwandans are warm, friendly and welcoming, and delighted to show you their country.
