For a small country, Denmark certainly packs a punch. With more than 400 islands, long stretches of sandy beaches, striking architecture and an achingly cool capital, small is definitely beautiful. This Scandinavian archipelago nation is famous for its quality of life – old-fashioned charm mixed with forward thinking ideas for living and design create the ideal balance.
No one season is better to visit than another – spring, summer, autumn or winter all come with their own experiences. Skating on canals to invigorating sea swimming, vast swathes of cherry blossom to sparkling Christmas markets. There’s little wonder the Danes keep smiling.
