Possibly one of the world’s most glamorous and cosmopolitan ski resorts, St Moritz also has its fair share of extremely good terrain, stunning scenery, and thanks to it altitude and orientation, it has great snow reliability. Nestled in the Engadin Valley, it has a winter wonderland feel to it, with palatial hotels and mansions lined along the snow dusted frozen lake.
It’s said that the village was the birthplace of alpine sports, back in 1864, before becoming a playground for the elite. And whilst there is still an air of exclusivity, with high end restaurants and shopping, there’s skiing for every level.
