Sumba

The forgotten island

The island of Sumba, in the east of the Indonesian archipelago, in the Savu Sea, has long been far from the beaten track. Remote, wild and low on infrastructure, it is untouched and unspoilt. Unlike its volcanic neighbours, it is characterised by limestone stacks, large blue lagoons, stunningly beautiful beaches and waterfalls.

Thatched “kampung” villages with pointy high roofs and megalithic burial sites dot the landscape, giving the island an otherworldly air and a step back in time.

We are excited to add Sumba to our Indonesia portfolio. Our curated collection of wonderful properties will be coming to the website soon. In the meantime, get in touch to plan your tailor-made Sumba experience.
