Widely known as the spice island of the West Indies, Grenada is the most southerly of the Windward Islands and arguably one of the most exotic in the Caribbean. You can smell the heady aroma of nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon in the air. Less developed than its neighbours and more low-key, it enjoys an unhurried and laid back pace.
The interior is full of volcanic craters, rich rainforest, tumbling waterfalls, high lakes and hot springs, and the coastline boasts some of the region’s finest beaches.
