Swiss Ski Resorts

With chocolate box resorts, instantly recognisable mountains, scenic trains and cross border resorts, it’s little wonder that Switzerland has been attracting skiers since the sport was invented. The country is home to some of the most well-known resorts, one of which, St Moritz, is considered to be the birthplace of winter sports and continues to be the go-to destination for the international set. It is closely followed by Gstaad for glamour and caché.

Zermatt, with its inimitable location, exceptional mountain restaurants and links to Cervinia is a favourite for the cognoscenti, whilst Verbier is the expert skier’s dream destination. For World Cup slopes, Crans-Montana and Grindelwald-Wengen are hard to beat. In summary, the Swiss have ski resorts pretty much wrapped up.
