Antigua

Laid back cool

One of the Leeward islands in the Lesser Antilles, Antigua is amongst the friendliest islands in the Caribbean. Its ragged coastline reveals secret coves and glamorous harbours, protected by historic forts, and some of our favourite lunch spots. Inland, colourful villages dot the gentle undulating slopes, and the entire island is infused with a relaxed air.

There’s a very English feel to Antigua and its warm, sunny, constant climate and breezes have continued to bring travelers to its shores ever since. It’s one of the best islands in the Caribbean for sailing, and has no shortage of magnificent dive sites. Don’t miss a sundowner on Shirley Heights, looking out over English Harbour and across to Montserrat, with the colourful sound of a steel band as your backdrop. Or an evening spent surfing at Half Moon Bay.
