In the heart of Switzerland’s largest ski area, with over 400km of runs, there’s terrain for all levels of skier and because of the altitude, it’s snow sure for the whole season. The lift system continues to expand, making getting around the mountains quicker and easier. The scenery is fabulous – from high up on a clear day you can see Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn, and back in the village itself, there’s a lively après ski scene. The mountain restaurants have improved vastly over the last few years – celebrity and gourmet, traditional and haute cuisine, serving Savoyard favourites to some of the best burgers and pizzas around.
