food

You can watch the chefs here in the open kitchen, as they create first rate dishes, morning, noon and night. Delicious and creative, they are best enjoyed when discussing the day’s game viewing. Singita is one of the continent’s foremost wine collectors, meaning guests here have an extraordinary choice of rare and single vineyard wines. The team can organise private tastings – a truly memorable bush experience!

activities

At Faru Faru, there are two daily game drives and an unforgettable stargazing safari. The night sky in the depths of the bush is a stunning sight to behold. Guests have their own Field Guide, and no two drives are the same. You explore the grasslands, woodlands and river, encountering a rich diversity of wildlife and game. Don’t miss out on a guided walk and experience the bush close up. Your guide will track animals and explain all about the bush. The lodge is also renowned for its horseback safaris – one of the most wonderful ways to see the Serengeti.

family

Faru Faru is perfectly set up for families, with tailor made activities. The lodge runs a Mini Rangers course, teaching children how to track animals; bush survival techniques; bird-spotting how to identify the stars. Babysitting and child-minding can also be arranged. Children need to be fifteen and over to take part in bush walks (or at the discretion of your guide).

sustainability

The lodge works closely with the Singita Grumeti Fund anti-poaching team, and guests have the chance to visit one of the main outposts to observe this essential work. Singita is also committed to community development with an outreach programme working with twenty-one villages, focusing on education, enterprise and natural resource management. Guests are encouraged to visit these villages to see the work firsthand.
