With floor to ceiling windows bringing the outside in, the apartments are a stylish mix of modern and classic Alpine design. Built in wood, slate and glass, and decorated in a natural palette of colours, they all offer comfortable open plan living. There are six categories of apartments, differing in size, and in line with the Lagació’s ethos of being close to nature, each comes with a drinking fountain, with water fed fresh from a mountain spring.

The Stuben breakfasts are legendary – an overwhelming and thoroughly indulgent choice of homemade bread and jam, cheeses, charcuterie and eggs any which way you like. For lunch and dinner, your choice of mountain and village restaurants ranges from local trattoria to Michelin star, or cook for yourselves with a pre-ordered organic hamper of goodies. If you need a night off, a private chef can even be arranged. And each afternoon, you’ll find a selection of freshly baked cakes waiting for you.

Lagació is perfectly placed for instant access to the one thousand two hundred kilometres of the Dolomiti Superski area. It’s just three hundred metres away from the Piz Sorega lift that takes you to the heart of the Alta Badia, and for the adventurous, whatever your level, a ski guide can be booked to seek out some of the best slopes. The landscape is also perfect for cross country skiing (the Dolomites has one of the most extensive terrains in Europe) and snowshoeing.
Any equipment needed can be rented in the in-house ski shop. It’s not an over exaggeration to call this part of the Dolomites a winter paradise, with skating rinks, snow parks and horse drawn sleighs. In the summer, the mountains transform into a hiking and biking arena, whilst the adrenalin junkies come for the climbing and the vie ferrate. And don’t forget the Spa, with its Finnish and bio saunas, steam room and ice fountain, together with a selection of therapies and treatments and personal yoga sessions. The perfect tonic after a day in the mountains.

The apartment living gives families much freedom. Extra beds and cots can be provided for an additional cost, and babysitting can easily be arranged. A very handy selection of baby equipment is also on hand to use. If you’re there in the winter, you’ll find a dedicated children’s ski area and excellent ski instructors. And definitely don’t miss out on sledging!

The owners show a real commitment to the environment. Local stone and wood were used in the construction, and solar energy powers the apartments, which in turn are thermally insulated. The delicious breakfasts and hampers are full of organic and local produce.
