Villa Tugela – Corfu, Greece
Just perfect for a large family or groups of friends, Tugela is creatively designed and laid out, mixing typical villa style with contemporary décor and most importantly, with fabulous entertaining spaces inside and out. Set in a private estate, with a winding path down to the water and a shared private jetty, it sits in fragrant and established gardens. There are plentiful terraces for al fresco dining, and little spots for hiding away with a book. The interiors are bright and airy, with open plan living space on the upper level.
Also on this level is the Master bedroom, which not only has an en suite bathroom, but a courtyard bath and rainforest shower too. Below, on the pool level, each of the bedrooms has French doors opening out onto terraces and views of the sparkling Ionian.

Tugela sleeps up to twelve guests in five en-suite bedrooms. There are four double bedrooms, three of which can be twinned as well as a double bunk room sleeping four children. For larger parties, Tugela can be rented with adjacent sister house Erato which also sleeps up to twelve guests (sleeping up to 24 in total).

On arrival, guests are greeted with a welcome hamper. Tugela comes with a local concierge service and housekeeping seven days a week, with a midweek linen change. There’s a daily breakfast service and guests can request a private chef. The villa has a gardener and someone to look after the pool.

A villa that has everything you need, it’s tempting to not leave the grounds – swimming, tennis, cinema room, the odd game of boules could keep you occupied for quite some time. There are numerous excellent beachfront tavernas close by, and you’re not far from the fishing villages of Kassiopi, with its Byzantine castle, and Agios Stefanos with its crescent beach.
