The Michelin starred restaurant, Marchal, features a walk-in wine room, open display kitchen and cocktail bar. Guests and Copenhageners alike dine here in its elegant surroundings, and in the summer, the tables spill out onto the terrace on the square. Balthazar, the hotel’s champagne bar, serves a selection of more than one hundred and sixty champagnes, together with tapas style cuisine and caviar. The hotel has also managed to take a very British tradition of afternoon tea and give it a lavish Nordic twist.

Such is the luxury of the Hotel d’Angleterre, you may be very tempted to not stray beyond the entrance! But of course, Copenhagen is full of beautiful places to see and explore, by foot, bike or boat. Cycling is a great way to explore, as is renting a boat and cruising the waterways. Royal palaces, castles, museums, galleries and gardens – your days are instantly packed. The hotel is just round the corner from the captivating and colourful Nyhavn, with its bars and restaurants and pretty much everything is within walking distance.
For a bit of fun, you can also cross the Øresund Bridge to Sweden! And once cocooned back at the d’Angleterre, relax in the Spa, with its range of Nordic treatments and therapies. You really will find there’s not enough time to pack everything in.
