Furnished with supremely comfortable beds, and decorated with rich fabrics, marble floors and spacious balconies with day beds, the rooms and suites are exceptionally spacious. They have a Mediterranean feel, with views out over the golf course, the resortsand pools, and the Gulf beyond. The rooms can sleep up to three (with a child on a rollaway bed), whilst many of the suites can accommodate a family of four.

Each and every bar and restaurant oozes sophistication and elegance – each one being a destination in its own right. Dine right across the globe from the Mediterranean to South East Asia and luxuriate at the very popular Buddha-Bar Beach. Make sure you take tea – a very traditional Middle Eastern tradition – in the Drawing Room, and sip cocktails in the Manhattan Lounge, with its timeless Astor legacy.

St Regis Saadiyat is renowned for its in-resort facilities and active guests have plenty to enjoy. The Athletic Club has a state-of-the-art gym, lap pool, two tennis and squash courts and a fitness studio. The indoor pool is ideal for laps, whilst outside there are a further three pools – one adult, one family and another one for laps. The Iridium Spa is also no less impressive.
And just a stone’s throw away is the Gary Player designed Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, where a teeing off time can be easily organized by the concierge. On the island itself, there’s a wealth of things to see and visit, and you’re just moments from the cultural heart of Abu Dhabi. Visit the souks, or wander around the Louvre and the Zahed National Museum. Explore the mangroves in a kayak, getting up close and personal with some of the local bird and wildlife. The waters are also home to the world’s largest population of humpback dolphins, so if you’re lucky you may be joined by one or two as you paddle.

The Sandcastle kid’s club is open daily for children aged between one and 12 (those under four need to be accompanied by a parent). There are indoor and outdoor play areas and a kid’s pool, complete with its own cave and waterfall. To save you from packing all the kit, the resort has everything you need, babysitting can easily be arranged, and all the restaurants have children’s menus. Close by are Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros World and Ferrari World, where you might find it hard to drag your children away.
sustainability
The mantra at St Regis is “serve 360” – doing good in all directions. The resort has eliminated all single use plastic; has its own water filtration and bottling plant and replaced bathroom amenities with biodegradable alternatives. The use of water is strictly monitored; efficient recycling measures are in place; electricity is from renewable sources and the majority of all food is grown or produced organically.
