Why stay & ski with us: 12 reasons

Our mission is to deliver a specialist, personal, tailored, foodie and luxury chalet experience like no other.

1. MÉRIBEL SPECIALISTS SINCE 2006

Méribel Village is where it all began in 2006. With 17 seasons of operating chalets in Méribel we have established a reputation for specialising in all things Méribel and luxury chalets. Over this time we have learnt what it is that makes an incredible chalet holiday, we know the Three Valleys like the back of our hands and our “little black book” of contacts and secret tips can’t be beaten.

2. CHOOSE THE SERVICE LEVEL THAT SUITS YOU

Whilst our catered chalet offering is what we are known best for, we also have our popular self-catering and serviced options that provide independent luxury or a ‘meet in the middle’ option for those wanting a little more service. If you prefer to not lift a finger during your holiday and like the idea of being catered for by a professional chef and host team then our catered chalet option is for you.

However, if you love a big lunch out and could do without the hassle of housework then our serviced chalets (with various optional extras) might suit you better. For the more independent skier, one of our self-catered bolt-holes with all the luxury touch points and driver service could be just the job. Let us know your preferences and we can point you to where we think you will be happiest.

3. Our chalets are handpicked and excellently located

Having chalets that are excellently located is one of our founding and guiding principles, we say no to a lot of chalets because we want only the best location for our guests. Our current portfolio of chalets are located in Méribel Village and Le Belvedere – two of the most popular, convenient, and well-renowned areas in the Méribel valley with all the amenities (shops, bakeries, restaurants and après!).

All of our chalets are at most only a short walk from the slopes, with a gentle ski route home and benefit from privileged access to the Three Valleys terrain away from the crowds. All our chalets are carefully considered and handpicked. We choose them not only for their excellent locations but also for the little extras that make them so special. Whether that be panoramic mountain views, stylish interiors, a hot tub bubbling away on the terrace, a bar in the basement or a games room for the children. Our chalets will feel like a home from home, only better.

4. Our expert and Méribel based concierge team

Our Chalet Concierge Specialist, Lucy, has been in the luxury chalet industry for over 15 years. She lives year round in Méribel and she knows the resort, the chalets and our service inside out. Lucy is there from the moment you book to offer a highly personalised concierge service.  She helps organise anything and everything, from transfers, ski lessons and ski hire to booking restaurants, all the extras and making sure your lift passes are ready for your arrival.

It’s not just about the essentials either, Lucy will make suggestions you haven’t thought of in order for you to get the very best from your stay. Lucy provides the resort team with all the detail required to ensure your holiday is hassle free and runs like clockwork. Our in-resort team continue to deliver the concierge service throughout your stay and are there for you for whatever you need.

5. Our chalet teams are experienced hospitality professionals

At F&P it is all about our team, they make our guests’ holiday what it is time and time again. Our catered chalet guests are looked after by the best of the best. Each of our chalet teams are required to have exceptional hospitality experience and are selected after a rigorous recruitment process. They spend the first 3 weeks at the start of the season training getting to know everything there is to know about F&P and Méribel.

We carefully build a family-like team that have a shared passionate for what they do, our guest experience and of course skiing. We are fortunate that many team members return to work for us year after year which means they get to know our guests, often seeing them several years in a row.

6. We are foodies

Food is at the heart of F&P. Our catered chalet offering has been shaped by our love of delicious food with Holly and Philippa’s background in cookery and love of all things foodie. In order to guarantee that our chalet food is up to our high standards our chefs go through a thorough training process.

This includes demo meals, meeting the local suppliers, a workshop with, and their menus being endorsed by, a head chef from Michelin starred restaurant Trinity Clapham, as well as vegetarian workshops, a canapé marathon and wine pairing training.

7. Your menu is bespoke

There is no set menu with us, we appreciate everyone has different tastes and preferences when it comes to food.  All of our chefs come with a wealth of professional experience so they can be completely flexible. Whether you favour gourmet fine dining or family style meals they will plan and execute a menu designed with you in mind. Your chef will phone you before you arrive to discover exactly what your preferences are and of course consider any allergens when it comes to building your menu for the week.

Whilst the chef is whipping up a storm in the kitchen you can be certain that our hosts are on hand to make your pre-dinner cocktails and perfectly pair your wines each evening.

8. We use and work with only the best local suppliers

We have spent years fine-tuning our partner portfolio, from our ski instructors to nannies, butcher to fish supplier, welcome hampers ingredients to our wine or beer selection. All of our local suppliers are the very best in business, highly trusted and are an extension to the F&P team with the same ethos on guest care.

9. We promise a hassle free holiday

We want your ski holiday to be as easy as possible, so you don’t have to think and you can focus on enjoying your holiday and the slopes. This is why we offer to all of our chalets our specialist concierge service before and during your stay, an all-day driver service, your ski equipment delivered and fitted in your chalet, the very best supplier services, a dedicated professional and friendly F&P team, and all of the extra detail ready for your arrival.

Our self-catered and serviced chalets also come with a large menu of extras available from breakfast deliveries to ready-made meals, making your stay as relaxing possible.

10. We make skiing with children easy

Being Mums ourselves we fully understand that skiing with children can sometimes be a challenge, so we have made it our mission to reduce these pinch points so both you and your little ones get the very best from your stay. Firstly, our concierge team will help you organise everything from childcare, ski school, equipment hire, any extras you might need and recommending all the ‘must-dos’ for families.

Then our chalets are equipped with all of the kit you might need, so you do not need to worry about packing the entire house! Our F&P mini menu is balanced and nutritious, but we can completely tailor this to yours or your little one’s desire. Finally, our resort team are always on hand to help and go the extra mile to make your family holiday as smooth and special as possible.

11. We are small, personable and passionate about what we do

We literally live and breathe mountain life. We love what we do and believe that this passion is reflected in our holidays. Being a small team means we can forge relationships to understand our guests ski holiday habits and needs.  We like to get to know our guests personally so that we can offer a truly tailored approach. We are focused on constantly improving our service based on guests’ feedback.

12. We are environmentally conscious

Our glorious mountain playground needs protecting. Whilst we offer a luxury chalet experience we believe that this shouldn’t come at the cost of our beautiful surroundings. We work closely with local collective ‘One Tree at a Time’ who help us work toward minimising our impact on the environment. We set targets each year with an aim of our chalet operation becoming net zero by 2030. Read more about our efforts here.
