Lake 1: Visit Lake Garda

Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy, located in Northern Italy, between the regions of Lombardy to the west, Veneto to the east. The lake is a popular destination due to its stunning natural beauty, charming lakeside towns, and a wide range of recreational activities.

Stay at: Lefay Resort & Spa Lago di Garda

On the pine and olive-strewn slopes and citrus avenues of Lake Garda, Lefay Resort & Spa Lago di Garda, enjoys a spectacular hilltop vantage point. Lake 2: Visit Lake Iseo

Lake d’Iseo, is where crystal-clear waters meet picturesque hillsides. We love this lake as it has managed to remain off the tourist’s beaten track. Iseo is considered to be the main town on the lake, with its tiny ancient streets, romantic squares and peaceful votive chapels. A regular ferry service operates between Iseo and Montisola, one of the lake’s great surprises. An island rising from the lake with 11 villages and visitors only allowed to explore it on foot, bike or the public minibus service..

Stay: L’Albereta

Situated in Franciacorta in the heart of the Lakes District in Northern Italy within rolling hills and vineyards and just a km away from the incredibly romantic Lake Iseo. Here you can immerse yourself in the state-of-the-art health and medical spa or set off on vineyard tours and wine tastings.

Lake 3: Visit Lake Como

Located in Northern Italy’s Lombardy region, Lake Como is renowned for its picture-perfect scenery. Set against the foothills of the Alps, the Y- shaped lake has long captured the hearts of artists, writers, and well-heeled Italians, and with a few celebrity endorsements – the region is firmly on the map. Spend your days boating across the water (either on one of the frequent ferries or on a private charter), admiring the world-famous gardens that line the shores, and stopping at the pretty villages.

Como, Bellagio, Varenna, and Menaggio offer a glimpse into old Italy and are perfect for leisurely wanderings, taking in the architecture and trying out the eateries, a glass of Aperol mandatory.

Stay: Grand Hotel Tremezzo

Standing prominently on the shores of the crystalline Lake Como, in five acres of magnificently manicured gardens and subtropical parkland, commanding views over to Bellagio and the Grigne mountains, this is more of a palace than a hotel. Family-owned and run, with impeccable old-style service and superb cuisine, it is quite literally, a landmark. Tremezzo is the place for luxury lakeside lounging, whilst being waited on hand and foot.

Explore the immaculate grounds that climb the hillside, rewarding you with fabulous views from the top. You have a choice of three pools – an uber stylish floating pool on the lake, another in the gardens and a heated infinity pool in the Spa, as well as a stretch of private beach with sun loungers.

Lake 4: Visit Lake Orta

Lake Orta in the mountains of Piedmon is known as the the most romantic of the Italian lakes and one of Italys best kept secrets. It is a tranquil and picturesque destination with plenty of cultural sites and experiences to make the most of in this little corner of paradise.
