The lively restaurant, Sendero Kitchen, is where the locals like to come and eat. The fresh, farm to table approach, with the catch of the day whatever the fishermen have caught, is a tasty mix of casual plates and fine dining. And the equally vibrant Après Surf Bar, with its very chilled soundtrack, is the place for a cocktail after a tough day at the beach.

The five mile long Guiones beach has some of the most consistent surf conditions in the world, so whether you’re a beginner, or a seasoned pro, you’ll want to try the waves. Sendero has all types of boards, and instructors for beginners through to advanced. And there’s even a photographer who can immortalise your efforts. Yoga and core workouts are held several times a day in a light-filled studio, with many more offered throughout Nosara. Apart from that, just sit back and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Families looking for a little down time as they explore Costa Rica, love this secluded sanctuary. The gentle beach with its tidal pools is ideal for younger children to splash in, whilst older ones will want to master surfing. There’s babysitting on request.

Sendero blends in with its environment, built with repurposed material and wood from renewable sources. There are water saving practices in place, with rainwater collected for irrigating the kitchen garden. The majority of the produce is local and organic, and the team that work here are all local.
