We love the flexibility with the rooms and suites here – there are so many permutations that are ideal for groups of friends and family. The modern Alpine styled accommodation ranges from single rooms to Duplex Suites and Deluxe Family rooms that can sleep up to five guests. Many have spacious living areas, and most feature a balcony with views over the valley and mountains.
food
Brasserie Le 80 brings all the fun and conviviality of après ski to your table. Traditional alpine cuisine with a modern twist is accompanied by live music or DJ sets several times a week. For fine dining, pop next door to La Chaudanne’s sister hotel, for the Michelin starred L’Erkin. The hotel also has a slope-side restaurant accessible from the Pas du Lac bubble. With fabulous views and a large terrace, it’s a great place for lunch, or just a pit stop.
activities
Open winter and summer, La Chaudanne caters for mountain lovers whatever the season. Its prime location close to the main Méribel lifts, means you’re whisked to anywhere in the Trois Vallées – the world’s largest ski area – within no time. Skiers of all levels are catered for, with gentle nursery slopes, epic off-piste terrain, and snow parks. Non-skiers can enjoy the numerous walking and snowshoeing trails, and with a lift pass, they’ll find it easy to reach quite a few of the mountain restaurants to join family for lunch.
Summer here brings a host of things to do, making it the ideal destination for an active family holiday. From gentle hiking or golf, to adrenalin-fuelled mountain biking, tree top adventure courses and white water rafting, there really is never a dull moment. And whatever the season, the Nuxe Spa is just what you need for aching limbs at the end of the day.
