Cordée des Alpes – Verbier, Switzerland

Cordée des Alpes – Verbier, Switzerland

In the ever so glamorous resort of Verbier, the Cordée des Alpes shines out with its traditional Swiss chalet frontage and cool, contemporary interior. Old wooden panels and beams, granite and marble walls, it’s homely and sophisticatedly furnished – it really is one of our favourites! Both the food and the service here are exemplary, seeing guests and their families book year on year. We love the friendly vibe and best of all, it’s right in the heart of the village.

The hotel’s shuttle will take you to the Médran lift each morning and pick you up at the end of the day, and the resort’s shops, bars and restaurants are just a short walk away.

food

We think the breakfasts at Cordée des Alpes are some of the best we’ve had, and they’ll certainly get you through until lunchtime. Restaurant La Cordée is only open for dinner, however the menu is exceptional. With the focus most definitely on local and regional produce, it’s based on traditional French cooking, but with a very modern take. The fish courses are especially good. Book in advance for the chef’s table (maximum five people), where you’ll experience life in the kitchen.
