Contemporary in style, with local artisan touches, the suites and villas are exceptionally spacious and comfortable. The suites can sleep up to four guests and feature views of the gardens or the lake, whilst the larger ones come with a Jacuzzi. For a larger group, the Villa Retreat can accommodate up to six guests, and comes with a full kitchen.

Open-sided, with views over the lake, the restaurant serves traditional Guatemalan cuisine, with a good international offering. Ingredients are sourced locally, and much of the fish is fresh from the lake. There’s also a very good wine selection.
activities
With its proximity to the Mayan ruins of Tikal and Yaxhá within the Maya Biosphere Reserve, (a 220sqm of protected rainforest), Bolontiku is an ideal place from which to explore. The hotel can organise private guided tours of these magnificent temple complexes. There are boat trips on the lake, and regular rides to nearby Flores. And for exploring the lake, there are kayaks, paddle boards and pedalos for guest use. The lakeside Spa offers a comprehensive range of therapies and treatments, as well as yoga sessions.
