Small and perfectly formed, the Blue Monkey Hotel & Beach Club is a luxury new addition to Barbados’ Platinum Coast. Set right on one of the island’s best beaches, pure white of course, this intimate boutique retreat is a haven of relaxation. The service is exemplary, from the minute you’re picked up from the airport and whisked through like a VIP, to the slick and attentive treatment at the beach club – a place where you’ll feel right at home. It has a wonderful intimacy to it, and along with its cool design, is laid back luxury at its very best.

food
Everything served here is fresh, sea and farm to table. The innovative menu at Amara restaurant is inspired by the food and culture of Lebanon, whilst the Beach Club serves Mediterranean and Barbadian dishes, in a very relaxed setting. It’s the perfect spot for a long lunch and sundowners.
activities
The Blue Monkey has fly and flop written all over it. It’s a place for unwinding and restoring batteries. So pack plenty of books, and prepare to spend most of your days at the beach club. Off the beach there’s kayaking, waterskiing and snorkeling. And if you’re lucky, the chance to swim with turtles.
The explorers amongst you might want to charter a catamaran; discover the interior of the island; delve into the nightlife or shopping in nearby Holetown, and the golfers will probably book a tee time or two at one of the many championship courses that Barbados has to offer. Otherwise, book a Spa treatment and switch off completely.
family
Families after a more relaxed atmosphere, without skimping on the luxury, love it here. The gentle beach and calm waters are perfect for younger children, and the water sports and activities keep the older ones busy. Babysitting can easily be arranged.
sustainability
The entire design of the Blue Monkey is focused on sustainable luxury. Solar panels, energy saving lighting and low flow water systems are in place, and there’s a focus on minimizing single use plastics. Organic products are used throughout, and produce is sourced locally.
