Each of the thirteen villas offers a generous 100 square metres of space, while the two-bedroom Master Villa extends to 120 square metres. Designed for privacy and comfort, they feature airy living areas and wide timber decks with sun loungers and a private plunge pool. Nestled amid lush jungle greenery, these stand-alone retreats are linked to the main lodge by winding stone paths, creating a sense of seclusion and connection to nature in equal measure.

food

Dining at Awasi Iguazú is a highlight. Heavily influenced by the region, with local produce taking centre stage on the menu, guests enjoy inventive fine dining, together with traditional Argentinian asado (barbecues). Gourmet picnics are prepared for excursions, and meals are paired with excellent South American wines. Guests can also dine privately in their own villa.

activities

Each villa comes with a private guide and a 4×4 vehicle, with individual itineraries designed for guests. Dive deep into the rainforest to discover hidden waterfalls, accessible only by boat; trek trails to archaeological Jesuit ruins and see endemic wildlife at close quarters. Private tours to the Iguazú Falls mean you avoid the crowds, with the chance to see them from both sides of the border. There’s kayaking on the Iguazú River and opportunities to spend time with the local Guarani tribes – a memorable experience in itself.

family

The lodge is an amazing experience for families with older children. Itineraries can be organised around multi-generational groups, and the villas offer spacious accommodation.

sustainability

Built on stilts to minimize environmental impact, the resort’s sustainability efforts are concentrated on being carbon neutral, protecting its precious surroundings and supporting the local community. CO2 absorption outweighs their emissions – including guest travel. The local Guarani people are employed and receive support for community projects.
