Why Visit Val d’Isère?

Savoyard charm

The mix of the astmospheric vieux village and world class skiing, makes Val d’Isère one of our favourite resorts.

Ski area

330km of pistes, making up half of the huge Espace Killy – one of the best ski domains anywhere. The other half is Tignes – a high altitude, snow sure skiing paradise. The high speed lift system is one of the best in the Alps.

Pistes

Slopes for everyone, from beginners to serious off-piste skiers. Many are north facing, so you can ski long into the afternoon as the weather begins to warm up in spring. Finish the day with the infamous Olympic downhill run – La Face.

Restaurants

Once a resort not known for its cuisine, Val d’Isère now has some fabulous places to eat on and off the mountain. From gourmet burgers to the Michelin starred restaurants of La Table de l’Ours, Bistrot Gourmand and L’Atelier d’Edmond.

Après-ski

Val d’Isère has a long reputation for being a party town. Dick’s Tea Bar is legendary, and since the arrival of first Folie Douce, the resort has been firmly on the map for people who like to carry on when the skiing stops.

Unique to Val d’Isère

One of the first ever ski resorts in the Alps and a magnet for serious skiers.
