A village on the western edges of the Trois Vallées, St Martin de Belleville is quite often overlooked. With its traditional Savoyard farmhouses, small square and the church (step inside to see its baroque splendour) at its heart, it retains a rustic charm, quite different to its glitzier sister resorts. It is home to many discrete and luxurious places to stay and is ideal for families and those looking for a more low key retreat.
At 1450, it is lower than the other resorts in the Trois Vallées, but the slopes all have snow making equipment, ensuring you can easily ski back down at the end of the day and enjoy your peaceful surroundings.
