Family friendly safaris
The country is full of game reserves with fabulous facilities for families, and what’s more, most of them are malaria free. A visit to one of the Born Free Foundation’s Big Cat rescue centres never fails to enchant the younger visitors.
Food & wine
From the gourmet capital of the Cape Winelands to the foodie destination of Cape Town, South Africa has been drawing visitors with sophisticated palates for decades. The country is home to some of the world’s most famous vineyards and no visit should be without at least one tour.
Activities
South Africa is often described as a giant playground. Fast flowing rivers for canyoning; hiking up Table Mountain; whale watching; beautiful drives; surfing in the Atlantic or Indian Oceans or cycling through the winelands – the list just goes on.

Even though South Africa is over 8000 miles away, it is only two hours ahead of GMT.
