1.WHAT MAKES A SAILING HOLIDAY SO SPECIAL?
I love waking up on the water and having a pre-breakfast paddle board/swim in the bay before setting off for another day exploring different coves or islands.

2. WHY IS A SAILING HOLIDAY GOOD FOR FAMILIES?
There is something for everyone, and it allows precious time to reconnect as a family. Teenagers will love all of the water toys that some boats have onboard – from waterskiing to ringo riding. They need not worry the boats do have wifi!

3. WHAT AGE WOULD YOU RECOMMEND TAKING A CHILD FROM?
It’s probably a little more of a relaxing holiday once you know your child can swim, however, the boats can have safety netting attached all the way around for peace of mind. I’d say children from the age of 6 or 7 upwards would be ideal.4. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN SAILING, WHERE HAS BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE AND WHERE IS NEXT ON YOUR HIT LIST?
I’m lucky to have sailed in lots of different places: Cuba, Grenadines, BVI, Croatia, Greece, Turkey and Canada. I have loved everywhere that I have sailed but the BVIs are really extra special for the snorkelling, stunning bays, and beach bars. Next on the list is Thailand (not just for the cuisine there!) and I’d love to sail around the Aeolian islands in Italy (not just for the cuisine there too!).
5. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT A SAILING HOLIDAY?
Not having to pack much and literally living in a bikini from morning to night! The evenings are special, relaxing onboard in the last of the day’s sun with a G&T, then stepping ashore to eat in a local taverna – some of the bays only have one restaurant where there is no menu and you dine on freshly caught fish, fresh off the grill. Heaven!6. WHY SHOULD YOU BOOK YOUR SAILING HOLIDAY WITH F&P? Because we LOVE everything about sailing and completely appreciate that it’s a bit of a minefield in terms of knowing where to start with the planning. We’re here to chat and answer each and every question you may have so that we can arrange the best option for you. We love hearing all about it when our guests return, most of whom rebook straight away!
7. IS A SAILING HOLIDAY MORE EXPENSIVE THAN A VILLA OR HOTEL FOR A FAMILY OR FRIENDS?
On paper it can look quite expensive, but when you think about what is included in the final price it’s no more expensive than a villa holiday. There are various ways of scaling down the price in terms of just having a skipper on board the boat, rather than a full crew.

NEW TO F&P – SAILING INDONESIA

STEP ABOARD THE TIGER BLUE

We are delighted to introduce the newest addition to our sailing collection, Tiger Blue, a beautifully crafted 34m traditional phinisi yacht which sails around the stunning islands of Eastern Indonesia.

The waters of Indonesia are as close to a tropical paradise as you can imagine. Strung between the Indian and Pacific Oceans on the edge of the Ring of Fire, this immense archipelago of thousands of islands draped in rainforest, is like sailing in a world far removed. Glide across vast empty tracts of crystal clear water to secluded lagoons and idyllic beaches, seeing an abundance of exotic wildlife on land and beneath the waves and experience indigenous cultures along the way.

Designed with families or groups in mind, with a generous deck space and five en-suite cabins, a journey on Tiger Blue is guaranteed to be an unforgettable adventure. Customised itineraries, dive trips and specialised family holidays make this the ultimate sea safari.
