ARGENTINA TRIP INSPIRATION

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO?

We are here to help you curate a trip based on what you want to see and the areas you would like to visit and the best time of year to visit will be dependent on this. September to April is generally the best time of year to visit but also the busiest. Days are longer and the weather milder. The best lodges in Patagonia are only open during Spring and Summer and visiting here is a must for any first trip to the country.

HOW LONG SHOULD WE GO FOR?

We recommend ten days as a minimum if you are planning to tour around. To combine the multiple landscapes a typical trip would take you from Buenos Aires to the Iguazu Falls. From here you may venture to the winelands of Mendoza before flying down to Patagonia for the second half of your trip. You are never going to see the whole country in one go; you will need to come back!

HOW ARE WE GOING TO GET AROUND?

By land and air. Short hop domestic flights in Argentina are easy to do and get you from A to B quickly.

HOW ACTIVE DOES THE TRIP NEED TO BE?

It’s entirely up to you. Some light walking is needed to explore the lakes and glaciers in the south, but much of the scenery can be enjoyed from a vehicle. If you’re after adventure, options include horseback riding, rafting the Río Mendoza, vineyard cycling, or even climbing Cerro Aconcagua, South America’s highest peak.

CAN WE RELAX AT THE END OF THE TRIP?

Absolutely. While Argentina isn’t known for beach resorts, nearby Uruguay offers plenty of coastal escapes if you’re craving the sea. That said, we love the idea of winding down your journey with a stay at a beautiful countryside estancia (ranch) — the perfect place to relax and soak in the last moments of your adventure before returning to Buenos Aires for your flight home.
