The polar regions are the last frontiers of travel, where little has been touched by humankind. Nowhere is more remote, and nowhere offers such an opportunity to witness nature at her most extreme. At either end of our planet, the Arctic and Antarctic promise pristine wildernesses, majestic landscapes, unique encounters with wildlife and natural phenomena like the Aurora Borealis and Australis.
We partner with specialist operators, with purpose built vessels, taking only a small number of guests, crewed by seasoned professionals and explorers. We find that smaller groups allow for a more intimate and personalised journey, both in terms of where you go and how you experience it. This also gives the opportunity to explore more remote locations, which larger ships are unable to access. Smaller Zodiac boats navigate you around the coastlines and ice floes, or take you ashore to witness the majesty of your surroundings, and possibly get closer to some of the extraordinary wildlife here. The trips have a high guide to guest ratio, ensuring a rich experience and flexible programme, with experts on hand to demonstrate photography techniques to capture the incredible scenery and wildlife, or explain the geology of your surroundings.
