Why Visit Croatia?

Activities

Adventurous activities – there are so many activities on offer here including watersports, sailing, kayaking, diving, snorkeling, rafting, canyoning, hiking and zip-lining.

Sunsets

Glorious sunsets, the golden hour here is postcard perfect.

Beaches

Being coastal there are plenty of gorgeous beaches. Most of the beaches in Croatia are rocky so perfect for those who are not lovers of sand. Imagine crystal clear aquamarine water and hidden coves.

The islands

Croatia has over 1,200 islands which provide the perfect opportunity for an island hopping adventure. Brac is slightly larger and famous for its charm.

History

Historical sites, there is so much to see for history lovers here, Diocletian’s Palace in Split, Pula Amphitheatre and the Dubrovnik City Walls are absolute musts.

National Parks

There are 8 national parks bursting with natural beauty and full of wildlife.

Cuisine

Croatian cuisine is delicious and varied depending on the region you visit and hugely underrated. It is influenced by its neighbouring countries Hungary, Italy and Turkey and has plenty of fresh seafood on offer.

Wine

Head to the countryside to discover the beautiful vineyards for some great wines (some with the most amazing views) and enthusiastic winemakers.

The sunshine

It is one of Europe’s sunniest spots and pleasant still even in the colder months. If you are not tied to school holidays we recommend visiting in the shoulder season where the days are still sunny but the crowds are less. It is also the best time to enjoy all the activities.
